Accommodation FAQs
Between 1st March and 31st October each year during the hours of 09:00-16:30, Luggage Transfers courier bags between hotels, B&Bs, Guesthouses, Inns, Airbnb and private properties for walkers and cyclists.
We understand concerns when you’ve never heard of us, so to help put your mind at ease, you can do any or all of the following:
- Google ‘Luggage Transfers’ and you’ll see the Google Business Profile with reviews.
- Browse the website, and phone any of the 800+ accommodations listed on our ‘Walker Friendly Accommodation‘ page
- Look at the official website for the South West Coast Path. We’ve got our own page for ‘Baggage Transfers‘
- Phone Luggage Transfers on 01326 567247. If you’re calling during the week, you’ll probably speak with Rhianne, the Operations Manager. Outside of this time, you’ll speak with Di, Sarah or Devon.
- Search Companies House for Luggage Transfer Limited.
When a transfer is requested by a customer to an address we’ve not visited before, we ask that they inform you they’re using our services. We hope they’ve already done this, but if not, we try to ensure all properties are aware we’re coming. So, at the point of enquiring or booking, we ask that they provide us with contact details for the owner of where the luggage will be delivered. If we get an email address, we send an introductory email, but if we only get provided with a phone number, we send a text message with a link bringing you to these FAQs.
We will contact you the afternoon/evening prior to a delivery. We call or email with an estimated time of delivery, which is normally a 1 hour window, between the hours of 09:00 and 16:30.
Luggage Transfer drivers will have many deliveries to make in a day, so it’s normally not possible to change their delivery times. Many property owners either provide us with a safe space to leave bags or keycodes. The keycodes are kept safe and are only visible to our delivery team on days leading up to the delivery. We deliver to over 2000 different addresses every year, with new ones being added all the time and keycode access makes up a large percentage of these deliveries.
